Friends of Royal Alberta Museum Society
The Friends of Royal Alberta Museum Society (FRAMS) is dedicated to building a dynamic community connected to the Royal Alberta Museum by coordinating projects that foster accessibility and encourage deeper engagement with the museum.
FRAMS will be an exciting, visible and dynamic organization that supports Alberta's natural and cultural heritage through its integral relationship with the Royal Alberta Museum. FRAMS will be a confident and effective advocate of the Royal Alberta Museum's programming through volunteerism and fund development for the museum.
The Friends of Royal Alberta Museum Society was established in 1982. FRAMS is comprised of a volunteer board of directors and general members. FRAMS is involved in fundraising and friend-raising, acquiring artifacts to expand the museum’s collections, and providing a community in which all Albertans may engage with their museum.
FRAMS supports and enhances the goals of the Royal Alberta Museum through a mutually beneficial relationship. This relationship focuses on:
• Building a dynamic community in support of the Royal Alberta Museum’s objectives of education and research.
• Augmenting the Royal Alberta Museum’s objectives through public engagement by reaching and inspiring Alberta’s communities, celebrating historic moments, and gifting artifacts of significance to Alberta’s heritage.
• Supporting access to the Royal Alberta Museum through FRAMS programs.
