Every Monday and Tuesday evening, the MAT Youth Centre runs free drop-in programming for local youth ages 11-18. On Mondays, we offer programming to youth ages 11-14, and on Tuesdays we offer programming to youth ages 14-18. Our goal is to provide a dynamic, positive, non-judgmental space for all youth who come through our doors - mentoring youth in their current journey, assisting youth in their immediate needs, and transforming their lives for the future. Our vision is that all youth are active parts of the community, live healthy lifestyles, understand the importance of uniqueness, and contribute valuable leadership for future generations.

Drop-in nights are primarily unstructured, so youth can participate in whatever activities they'd like - we have a full gym with different games each week, crafts, free snacks, concession, skateboarding, video games, air hockey, ping pong, and a smoking area (Tuesdays only). Adult staff and volunteers act as mentors and role models, and can also connect youth with community supports and resources.

Reporting to the Youth Services Supervisor, your role will be to plan and coordinate arts and crafts activities for drop-in each week. Each week you will plan a new activity for our youth, and then facilitate it in the craft room during drop-in. Have fun and gain valuable skills in organization, communication, mentorship, working with young people, and program planning.

If you have any questions, please contact Tessa at youthsupervisor@bgclethbridge.com or 403-327-6423.
