APIRG is currently working with the Undergraduate Research Initiative (URI) and U of A graduate students and supervisors to develop a research mentorship and dissemination program for undergraduate students and community members interested in conducting research which engages with social and environmental justice. The student research consultant would do the following:


  • Offer their experience/expertise in community-based research practices (including Indigenous, feminist and anti-oppressive research paradigms) to develop principles and write policies for our program

  • Develop an in-house publication and dissemination strategy

  • Connect with researchers, supervisors, students and research organizations on campus to promote our program and determine opportunities for collaboration

  • Connect with external research, advocacy and community organizations to develop research dissemination networks

APIRG board members and staff will be available to support the intern in all aspects of the project. The internship will take place in the APIRG office, various other meeting locations in the city, and some work can be done remotely. The office is wheelchair accessible.   • Research mentorship program policies & procedures completed
