This position will require the intern to come in to the office for meetings in St Albert about once every two weeks in addition to the initial meeting. The bulk of the work should be able to be completed virtually through online communication.

Are you a story teller? A whiz on social media? Know how to grow followers and spread the word on important issues challenging young people...who don't live in the big city?

We're looking to re-launch our social media presence in the St. Albert and the surrounding areas and need some help getting the word out about our education and youth counselling programs. The general focus of the internship will be developing and implementing a marketing and social media plan for our youth programs that help prevent violence and abuse and support those experiencing these challenges in their day to day lives.

Our vision is a society that is abuse free.  We believe we all have dignity, are unique and deserve respect and that we should all be able to live without fear of physical, sexual, emotional, verbal, financial or spiritual abuse.

We have a number of youth programs in addition to sharing resources in the community about violence prevention. Our intern(s) will learn a little bit about clinical best practices, learn about rural community initiatives as well as ways to support the prevention of violence in our families, schools and communities. In doing so, we're looking for dynamic and positive interns who have a passion for the cause and a love for all things social media. We're hoping that you can freshen our image, provide feedback and input in how to reach youth in a more dynamic and proactive way, and share resources in a compelling way.
