Each summer we hold a mentorship mixer to engage our mentors, protegés and leaders in the Edmonton region. The purpose of the mixer is two fold; one to create a tighter mentorship community and understanding around the importance of mentorship and also to raise awareness of our program. We will have 75-100 people at the mixer.

The position of the SCIP person would be to organize the mixer, with the interVivos board, and to secure donations of food and/or funds, and encourage engagement of mentors, protegés and Edmontonians.

Ideal for someone with course work in:

  • Event Management Operations Specialization
  • Event Management

Some specialized skills required:

  • Experience with Google Docs, Social Media and Mailchimp
  • Organized
  • Self motivated

What we will accomplish at the end of the Internship:

  • Invite mentors, proteg├ęs and community leaders
  • Plan event
  • Source out resources ie: donations, volunteers
  • Direct and organize volunteers
  • Create and maintain a budget and timeline
  • Facilitate the event & final report on event
