Create a physical literacy and movement program for the participants. 

Educate youth leaders about the importance of physical literacy

Encourage participants to pursue lifelong physical activities and wellness, and innovative approaches to facility usage. 

Build community capacity of physical literacy within cultural communities

Evaluate physical literacy program 

Ideal for someone with course work in:

  • Community Health Promotion
  • Therapeutic Recreation
  • Adult and Community Education
  • Kinesiology
  • Health and Physical Education

Some specialized skills required:

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with participants
  • Comfortable working with a diverse group of youth participants
  • A good understanding of the concept of physical literacy and its impact on physical activity and health is essential

What we will accomplish at the end of the Internship:

  • Support building capacity for physical health & movement
  • Developing fundamental movement skills
  • Support promotion, awareness and education of physical health
