The Wainwright Chapter of Communities in Bloom prides itself on the many beds, greenspaces, and park areas that our volunteers maintain.  The successful candidate(s) will possess knowledge in plants, trees and local climate/seasons.  Improving and minimizing maintenance of these areas is a priority for both the Town and CiB.  Wainwright continues to grow and expand and along with the residential areas there are greenspaces set aside  for development.  Candidates interested in contributing their knowledge and ideas are encouraged to apply for this internship.  This would be a hands-on position involving the candidate(s) in on-site development, planting, and maintenance activities.

Ideal for someone with course work in:

  • Prairie Horticulture
  • Landscape Architecture
  • Agricultural Management

Some specialized skills required:

  • Landscaping and development
  • Knowledge of plants and trees; maintenance.

What we will accomplish at the end of the Internship:

  • Review and suggestions to improve maintenance of developed areas.
  • Contribution of ideas to undeveloped areas; implementation of same.
  • Involvement in on-site activities spring to fall
