Synergy is a registered charitable organization serving Chestermere, Langdon, and SE Rocky View, which believes that by offering youth (ages 7 – 17+) weekly opportunities to engage in both volunteerism and positive leadership development programming, flourishing communities for the future are ensured.
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate team member to assist in planning and supporting fundraising initiatives. As a registered charity, Synergy develops a variety of fundraisers throughout the year in order to continue operating and developing new programs. The Fundraising Assistant will assist in all fundraising undertaken by the Synergy Board and Staff. Under the direction of the Synergy Board Fundraising Committee and/or lead staff member, the Fundraising Assistant will assist with planning, logistics, event coordination, and soliciting and collecting donated items for silent auctions and raffles.
This year, fundraising initiatives the Fundraising Assistant may support include: The Duck Race, WestJet Raffles, Silent Auctions, 50/50 draws, and a large-scale event.
Ideal for someone with course work in:
- Project Management
- Event Management
- Community Economic Development
Some specialized skills required:
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Strong Organizational Skills
- Child Intervention Check
- Criminal Record Check
What we will accomplish at the end of the Internship:
- Coordinate at least one fundraising event
- Solicit silent auction and raffle donations
- Support 3-5 fundraisers
