AMSA is seeking an artist or therapist to assist with class delivery on site at St Andrews Centre once per week on Wednesdays from 11:00 - 4:30PM.
We would also like this assistant to be available for at least 1 special event during their internship. Examples of this are Art Walk in July, our Summer Art Market in August and our annual anniversary fundraiser in November.
Skills for this position would include a background study in visual art, psychiatry, psychology or social work. Some experience with art instruction would be an asset. More importantly though, an eagerness to learn, help, overall friendliness and some flexibility with event help as needed.
Outcomes for this position would be a connection to the arts community in Edmonton, Alberta Health Services, Covenant Health, Alberta Hospital Edmonton, The Wellness Network, Community Linking and other organizations and non-profits that we partner with.
Successful applicant must be comfortable working with individuals who identify with mental health issues and senior citizens.

What we will accomplish at the end of the Internship:
- Assist with set up and strike of classes and work with class materials
- Assist with weekly class Wednesday's 11:00AM - 4:30PM
