The Mountain Standard Time (M:ST) Performative Art Festival and Society exists to encourage the development of performative art practices in Southern Alberta with our original publications, professional development opportunities, and biennial festivals.

We are currently hiring an Event Coordinator to be responsible for organizing a "meaningful" fundraising event. Historically, M:ST's fundraisers are based around curated artwork that has carefully thought through how money intersects and can intersect with art. This is not a typical fundraising event and the posting requires someone with curatorial interests and ambitions.

The Event Coordinator will work out the event's concept in tandem with the Artistic Director and then will present the concept at a Board meeting for approval. Once decided, the Coordinator will hire the artist(s), develop the programming, arrange a venue, and promote and manage the event. They will be assisted by the mentorship of M:ST's Artistic and Production Directors throughout. This fundraising activity will be held in the spring of 2019.

Throughout the internship the successful candidate will be working a schedule of approximately 5 hours/week for 12 weeks at our office in the CommunityWise Resource Centre. The Coordinator will be expected to attend a minimum of four in person bimonthly meetings with M:ST's Directors.

This position represents a significant opportunity for an emerging artist, educator, or arts administrator to build practical knowledge of our local arts centres and practitioners, while working closely with multiple stakeholders.
