By joining our small and dynamic team at the 124 Grand Market you get to be a part of a special Edmonton fixture. Over the last 8 years the 124 Grand Market has become a summer destination hot spot in Edmonton and hosts 50+ vendors and thousands of patrons each week. This is a rain or shine market that runs May 2019 through October 2019 on Thursday nights on 124 street and 108 avenue (east) and Sundays on 102 avenue (east). 

As Social Media and Communications assistant, you will be integral in helping to curate and create content for daily social media posts and communications for vendors, patrons and stakeholders. 

Ideal for someone with course work in:

  • Creative Writing
  • Journalism
  • Marketing
  • Digital Communications and Media

Some specialized skills required:

  • verbal and written (english)
  • Experience with G-Suite and Drive
  • experience with Social Media platforms and scheduling tools
  • organization management
  • valid Alberta driver's license
  • Interest in Edmonton or Alberta Food and Agriculture a plus

What we will accomplish at the end of the Internship:

  • Intern will learn how to create and implement social media strategies
  • Create copy for blog posts and website updates
  • Create and curate content for 124 Grand Market social sites for 2019 Market season
  • Work with Creative Director to implement social media strategy
