The Special Events Assistant will be needed from Feb 4, 2019, until April 30, 2019, following the MS Walk. This position will work beside the Events & Volunteer Coordinator gaining experience in marketing, community relations, and event planning. This position aims to grow community awareness, encourage registration for the 2018 Walk and build relationships with the community and local business owners. This student will be a member of our walk committee that meets once a month, as well as our marketing distribution committee and an integral part of ensuring a successful 2019 MS Walk.

Ideal for someone with course work in:

What we will accomplish at the end of the Internship:

  • Work beside the Events & Volunteer Coordinator to marketing and encourage registration and fundraising potential in our community
  • Aid in managing event details leading up to and on the day of the event
