This internship will have two components. The first will help to extend an already existing poverty study in order to gather more detailed information about poverty in at risk groups at Lethbridge College, the University of Lethbridge, and/or Red Crow Community College. The second position will help the to research existing community connections and other assets in order to find other ways to partner together to address poverty in practical ways. Ideally, we are looking for students who are studying Indigenous Studies or related fields, although all interested students are encouraged to apply.

Ideal for someone with course work in:

  • Social Work
  • Indigenous Community-Industry Relations
  • Aboriginal Leadership and Management
  • Aboriginal Entrepreneurship
  • Aboriginal Administration

Some specialized skills required:

What we will accomplish at the end of the Internship:

  • exploring community contacts for potential partnership in addressing poverty
  • extending an existing poverty study
