This role is a good fit for students who enjoy developing online content strategies while supporting and celebrating great work that is happening in our communities. You’ll also get quick feedback and coaching to develop your writing skills, and a deeper understanding of using a strong brand voice in communications.

Skills & Experience

­­­­­­­­­­Must be currently enrolled in one of the qualifying post-secondary schools

  • Must be responsible, and an independent creative, self-starter
  • Must have access to a computer and internet connection to work remotely as needed
  • Experience, either personally or professionally, with a variety of social media, including Hootsuite, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and LinkedIn
  • Be comfortable writing social media copy
  • Be a great planner, and able to think strategically
  • Creative skills in Canva or Photoshop would be an asset

Deliverables/Duties

  • Develop an overall plan and schedule for monthly social media content calendar
  • Create postings on behalf of member organizations, and share valuable information with our audiences
  • Spotting good opportunities to help raise CCVO’s profile
  • Analyze, measure, and report on all social media activity, newsletter campaigns, content marketing efforts, and social advertising campaigns
  • Contribute to strategic SEO to increase search engine exposure

Time Commitment

This internship is based on a project timeline, with check-in meetings every two weeks by phone or in person. A more detailed timeline will be provided at the interview for the applicants’ information.  This position can be accomplished remotely.
