The successful applicant will assist with social media and virtual engagement throughout the 2 week annual festival (March 12-24, 2018). Prior knowledge of Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube is an asset. The days of this project-based internship are set, but the hours are somewhat flexible.

Duties include:

- Create and implement an online social media plan (should happen up to a month before the festival starts), which includes some marketing.
- Manage a very small social media budget
- Target social media posts to appropriate audiences through Facebook demographics and Instagram

- Manage Facebook and Instagram campaigns, take and post daily pictures, videos, etc.

-Reach out to media outlets for additional media coverage

Ideal for someone with course work in:

  • Marketing
  • Communications

Some specialized skills required:

  • Social media expertise
  • Strong communication skills
  • Have an interest (and background) in classical music
  • Ability to work independently or in a team

What we will accomplish at the end of the Internship:
