We are a non-profit organization working to improve race relations in Canada. Our headquarters is in Calgary, but our work reaches a national basis.

We have been working on our new project that we would like to release next year. It is a comic art/meme project and we are now looking for a student to create the artwork for.  We need someone who can work independently from whatever location they prefer, are artistic, a good drawer/cartoonist, interested in race relations, pop culture/memes/social media and wants to work on this awesome project because they believe in the cause.

The project is titled Race Issues and will involve the artist to draw 40 different meme/comics that tell stories about the struggles of everyday Canadians relating to race. We have collected 40 different stories from folks from a variety of background and know what the drawings should emphasize. We will work with you in terms of guiding you, but we need the artist to bring them life, digitally. The project will be published on our website, social media, and newsletters.. and will be posted on various blogs and news outlets. We believe it will get a decent amount of coverage and we will also put your name on our website as the artist. The purpose of this project is to show the problems that people of various races often face in our country through drawings to help shed light on the issue and get people talking, as this all relates to prejudice and racism.

Here is an example of what the drawings could look like... but they can be in your own drawing style. https://pics.onsizzle.com/thepakistanimarthastewart-do-you-speak-pakistanian-no-becky-i-dont-speak-7659356.png

This person can work virtually and can be located anywhere , but they will be required to be part of meetings from time to time, either via video chat/phone/in-person (only if possible)... depending on what works best. We will work with you to make sure the project is successful and it will be a lot of work, but it will be worthwhile. The project must be finished by April of 2018.
